Zapier Integration

The Zapier integration allows you to automate workflows by sending data from CallForPaper to other applications when certain events occur. We use the standard OAuth 2.0 flow for a seamless setup.

Setup Instructions

  1. Start in Zapier: Create a new Zap and search for the CallForPaper app.
  2. Authenticate: Click Connect a New Account. You will be redirected to CallForPaper to authorize the connection.
  3. Select Tenant: After authorizing, Zapier will present a dropdown list of all events/tenants you manage. Select the one you wish to connect.
  4. Set Trigger: Choose the New Submission trigger.
  5. Test: Follow the prompt to “Test Trigger” to see sample data from your event.

Supported Triggers

New Submission

Triggers immediately when a new paper or abstract is submitted to your Call for Papers. Available Fields:
  • submission_id: Unique identifier
  • title: Paper title
  • abstract: Text summary
  • track: The selected track/category
  • author_name: Name of the submitter
  • author_email: Contact email
  • event_title: Name of your event

Troubleshooting

  • No Tenants Found: Ensure you are an Organizer or Admin for at least one active event.
  • Connection Expired: For security, OAuth tokens may expire after a period of inactivity. Re-authenticate in Zapier to restore the connection.
  • Revoking Access: You can revoke any active Zapier trigger directly from the Settings > Integrations > Zapier page in your dashboard.
