Verification Badges Explained

Verification badges help speakers and attendees identify authentic events and trusted organizers. A verified badge increases the credibility of your CFP and can significantly boost submission rates.

Badge Levels

Organizer Verified

Level 1: The organizer has verified their personal email address. This is the minimum requirement to publish an event.

Organization Verified

Level 2: The event is linked to a recognized organization domain (e.g., @pycon.org or @google.com). This confirms the event is officially sanctioned by the entity.

Custom Domain Verified

Level 3: The CFP is hosted on a custom domain (e.g., cfp.yourconf.com). This provides the highest level of branding and trust.

Fully Verified

Level 4 (Premium): Our team has manually reviewed the event, organizer identity, and payment history. This is the gold standard for trust.

Why Get Verified?

Verification isn’t just a badge; it’s a signal to your community.
  1. Trust: Speakers are 3x more likely to submit to verified events.
  2. Visibility: Verified events rank higher in search results and discovery.
  3. Security: Protects your brand from impersonation and copycat events.

Claimable Events

Sometimes you might see an event marked as “Claimable”. These are community-sourced listings created by our team or users but not yet managed by the official organizer. If you are the organizer of a “Claimable” event, you can claim it to take control and verify your identity.
